COVID-19 vaccination for Maxima employees in India
Covid-19 has affected all of us, but India had to deal with a new outbreak in the last months. The second wave was much larger than the first, there was a shortage of vaccines, oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment. On the 30th of April 2021, the country reported over 400,000 new cases in a 24-hour period.
To help India and our employees our COO, Vinit Keshari, has sent oxygen tanks and concentrators to our office. It was just one of the things that we did to help our employees recover. Before that, we’ve also donated masks and other pandemic-related supplies.
To offer convenient access to the vaccine, we partnered with a Hospital to provide COVID-19 vaccination for Maxima employees. We know that Maxima is not only employees, but also their families, so the vaccination campaign also included the employee's spouse, children and dependent parents who live with the employee. The entire cost of this vaccination was paid by Maxima, as we want to encourage our people to get vaccinated.
The vaccination camp was set up in Pune on the 20th of June (Sunday) and was open from 3 pm till 5 pm. Our employees received the Covishield vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India and approved by the Drugs Controller General of India and by the WHO.
We want to thank our employees and managers for everything they do to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step to win with this pandemic. Please stay safe and care about your health.
